Puppy Classes

We focus on socialization, handling issues and basic behaviors such as sit, drop it, come and no jumping.

We are available to answer all of your "new puppy" questions from house training to nipping and biting.

Convenience: You can start a puppy class at any time

Reward Based Training - We use
positive reinforcement techniques to teach your dog each exercise.

Convenience - You can start any time, you don't have to wait for the next class to start - if you can't make it to your designated class time, you can drop in on another class to catch up

Low Stress - You can take your time to learn each exercise and don't have to worry about getting left behind

One-on-One Coaching
- Everyone in the class is working on the same behaviors and our trainers give each student individual training each step of the way.

Two month pass: $150

Unlike our regular training classes that last for a specific number of weeks, you will be purchasing a training pass that allows you to come as often as you like over a set period of time. Generally, most people take one session per week but we encourage you to come as often as you like!
Bark, Snark & Growl Classes I & II

Do you walk your dog at 5:00am to avoid other dogs?

Growl Class I
- The goal of this 8 week course is to teach your dog to remain calm and relaxed when passing another dog on a walk. There is a maximum of seven dogs in each class and three dog trainers conduct the class. We work on a lot of relaxation techniques, impulse control exercises and remedial socialization.

Growl Class II -
In this 6 week class we build on the foundation of the first class and work in "real world" scenarios. This class is held outside where we can encounter many novel dogs. The goal is to take the techniques we've learned in class I and generalize the behavior across many different scenarios. This class is very challenging; only participants in Bark, Snark & Growl class I are able to enroll.

LEVEL 1
This class is for dogs that have aggression issues towards other dogs. The class is in an extremely controlled environment, is limited to 8 dogs and will be run by three trainers.
Reward Based Training - We use
positive reinforcement techniques to teach your dog each exercise.
Leash Handling
& Management - We teach you what to do when you are on a walk and see another dog
Establishing Verbal Control- Can you imagine if your dog could actually pay attention to what you are saying when you come across another dog??!!!!
Remedial Socialization- Yep, that's right, your dogs WILL get to interact with each other.
Duration: 8 weeks

LEVEL 2
This class is for dogs that have completed our Bark, Snark & Growl level 1 class
Real World Training

In this class we build upon the skills learned from level 1 and apply them to "real world" situations by holding the class outside in a setting with with novel dogs.
Real World Results
- Upon completion of Level 2 class you should be able to use the skills you've acquired to "go it alone" and have the results that you want.
Duration: 6 weeks

Level 1 - Regular Levels Classes
These exercises need to be mastered in order to proceed to level 2

Name Game
- Your dog must spin on a dime when he/she hears her name without distractions

Sit -
Your dog must sit using a verbal cue only
-
Drop it
- Your dog must drop a pigs ear or raw hide if you offer a food trade
-
Down - With an abbreviated hand signal, one verbal cue
-
Come
- Easy recalls out of play with other dogs
-
Loose Leash Walking
- You and your dog can take 10 steps without food and without your dog forging ahead
-
No Jumping
- Your dog will not jump when a stranger approaches in a calm manner

Leave it -
Your dog will leave a treat that is in your fist

Sit - Stay & Down - Stay
- For 15 seconds each without distractions
Level 2
These exercises need to be mastered in order to proceed to level 3

Name Game
- Your dog must spin on a dime when he/she hears her name
with distractions - Food & Squeaky toy

Leave it -
While the treat is on the floor, uncovered

Drop it
- Your dog must drop a pigs ear or raw hide on cue without a trade

Come
- More difficult recalls out of play with other dogs

Loose Leash Walking
- You and your dog can walk half way around the room without food and can slow down and speed up

No Jumping
- A greeter can approach and shake your hand while your dog stays & the greeter can pet your dog while your dog stays

Sit - Stay & Down - Stay
- For 30 seconds each at 10 feet without distractions & for 30 seconds each while staying close with distractions

Down
- Your dog must lie down with a verbal cue only
Level 3
The goal of level 3 is to prepare you to pass the
CGC (Canine Good Citizen) These exercises must be mastered in order to proceed to level 4
