GROUP CLASS:

We've recently completely revamped our program! As always, only tried and true 100% positive methods.

The goal of this class is to teach you and your dog how to remain calm in the presence of other dogs that are leashed. This class is conducted in an extremely controlled environment and is limited to seven dogs. There are three trainers present at all times. We focus on teaching owners how to read their dog's body language, impulse control exercises, relaxation (yes!), and achieving verbal control.

Bonehead to Brilliant is for humans who can't or don't want to train their dog, but want a trained dog.

Training is done in your home, with or without your presence.
Go to work and come home to a different dog!

GOOD OLD PRIVATE TRAINING

It's all about you and your dog(s), 100%.

Does your dog blow you off when you call him to come?
Does he raid the garbage, jump on the counters, bark at other dogs...?
Is the word "obedience" a foreign term to your dog?
Simply prefer the efficiency and the hands-on attention of one-on-one?
Have some friends you want to take a class with, on your own schedule?
If any of this sounds familiar, then you're at the right place!

There is nothing like one-on-one coaching to address specific problem behaviors efficiently. Your schedule might conflict with a weekly class, or you may want to work on specific scenarios and issues. Some reactive or highly distractible dogs have trouble learning in a class setting, too. If this is the case, you and your dog would be excellent candidates for our private training sessions!

BASIC TRAINING CLASS

Classes are economical and fun!

Name Game - Your dog must spin on a dime when he/she hears her name with distractions
Sit - Your dog must sit using a verbal cue only
Drop it - Your dog must drop a pigs ear or raw hide when asked
Down - Your dog must lie down with a verbal instructions only
Come - Easy recalls out of play with other dogs
Loose Leash Walking - You and your dog can walk without him forging ahead
No Jumping - Your dog will not jump when a stranger approaches or when he approaches a stranger
Leave it - Your dog will leave a treat or toy when instructed to.
Sit Stay/Down Stay - Your dog will stay when instructed.
Fun - If you dread coming, we're not doing our job!

Reward Based Training: We use positive reinforcement techniques to teach your dog each exercise. One-on-One Coaching: Everyone in the class is working on the same behaviors and our trainers give each student individual training each step of the way.

FUN NOSE WORK CLASS

Our class teaches your dog how to search for and alert you when he has detected a specific scent we have hidden. This is a GREAT class to take if you want to have fun with your dog. No obedience training is necessary! You will have to practice, but practice is fun.

First the dogs learn the game of "searching" by finding hidden treats in boxes but as the class progresses we teach the dogs to search for a specific scent (birch, anise, clove). Sorry, no explosives or drugs!
